Hakan Pehlivan lives and works in Ankara as an artist, curator and director of Paper Artists Association (KSD). He studied at Ankara Gazi University in the field of art education, in the Graphic Arts Department. In 1993, a year after his first solo exhibition at the National Library Art Gallery, Ankara, he stayed in Berlin several times, Kristiansand (Norway) to attend a two-year residency. His works range from installation, paper objects, drawing, painting, digital print, and video.

Exhibitions include “Made in Turkey” (solo show held both in Berlin, 2015, and Kayseri, 2016)

As a curator, he has contributed in Paper works 1, Paper works 2, Paper works 3. He is the founder and director of Paper Artist Association and Küme Arts Association.
